On Wednesday Morning at around 7:30AM the Continental Village Fire Dept was dispatched along with Garrison FD and Garrison Vac for a reported 2 car MVA with injuries on Route 9D in Garrison. As part of our daytime automatic mutual-aid plan CVFD responded with an Engine and fire police. 14-1-1 arrived on scene right behind the medic and established command after a quick size up it was determined that both drivers were still in their respective vehicles and required extrication. At this time second Ambulance was requested from Peekskill and a second Medic was requested from Putnam. A short time later 14-2-1 arrived on scene and its crew went to work popping doors for EMS. Firefighters then assisted EMS with removing the patients from the vehicles and packaging them for transport to the hospital. One Patent was transported ALS to Westchester Medical Center and the other was transported ALS to Hudson Valley Hospital. Both fire departments returned to service after the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
