On Tuesday morning the Continental Village, Cold Spring, and North Highlands fire departments were dispatched mutual aid to Garrison for a Reported Structure Fire. Upon arrival units found a metal tub with lithium batteries smoldering. The tub was removed from the structure and firefighters vented the toxic smoke from the building before being released by Garrison FD who remained on scene awaiting the HAZMAT team.
