On Thursday morning at around 9AM the Continental Village Fire Department, along with Peekskill VAC and Cortlandt Regional Paramedics responded to the Bear Mountain Bridge Road for a reported MVA with Injuries car down an embankment. Upon arrival on scene the Medic advised all incoming units that the sole occupant was out of the vehicle. FD units arrived on scene a short time later and sent a member down to the vehicle to assess it and clear a path for its removal from the woods. Once the tow arrived on scene the Bridge road was closed in both directions as the vehicle was removed and the resulting fuel spill was contained and cleaned up. Fort Montgomery FD was requested to assist with the road closure at the Bear Mountain Bridge while State Police and DOT handled the closure at Annsville Circle.
