This past weekend CVFD kept busy with various events happening in the village! On Sunday we had the pleasure of hosting the CVFD Craft Fair and opened up our firehouse to a variety of vendors who all came out to sell their handmade items. We were very pleased to see the amount of vendors that all came and claimed a spot to sell their goods and we couldn’t have been more appreciative and grateful for all that came out to support these vendors and the fire department as well! We would like to take some time to give out special thanks to those who contributed and made this event great! We would like to thank: Barbara Petula!! For all her hard work and dedication to making this event great, spending countless time creating various mini signs to advertise around the village and the creation of raffle tickets. As well as planning different parts of this event and working closely with the FD to nail down specifics and plan accordingly on how the day will go! We can’t thank her enough for not only the dedication towards the village, but for the dedication and support she shows the fire department! Pete’s Hotdogs! For their donation of 100 Hotdogs to the FD so that we were able to supply and make food for all those that attended, we couldn’t be more grateful for their support and help! New Summit Lake Cafes! For their donation of 100 Hamburgers, Various hamburger bread and hotdog buns, and 2 cases of Chips! They made it possible to be able to provide even more options for food and have additional snacks available to provide to those that came and those that were there all day. Homestyle Desserts Bakery! For their donation of a variety of desserts that all were so delicious and favored by many!! Homestyle has always been so generous and ready to provide us with any help we may need and we couldn’t be more thankful for the help they give us and always willing to give back! Alina Cavajani & Riley Ferreira! We would like to thank these 2 individuals for taking the time out of their day to attend this fair and preform live music for all the guests and vendors at the event! They did such an amazing job and kept up the holiday spirits with their performance and we’re very appreciative that they came out! Tori Hughes! For the creation of the beautiful signs that were posted up on the entrance boards to the village. She dedicated countless hours to designing and creating the 2 signs and they came out very beautiful and festive! We’re again grateful for the help and time she provided to design them and help advertise the event! Santa!! For making a trip ALL the way from the North Pole to attend the event and pick our 50/50 prize winner and surprise the children that were present! Lastly, the vendors!! This event could have not been as great or even possible without all the vendors that were present and donated to obtain a table. We were very happy with the amount of people that were just as excited as us to be apart of this event and we hope everyone enjoyed their time and were able to sell the beautiful creations we saw! This could not have been done without all the help and support we received, not only by those listed, but by the community who helped by attending this event and spending a few minutes of their day checking out this event. THANK YOU ALL!!!!! ———————————————————————————— After the Craft Fair, CVFD had the honor of escorting Santa to the Tree Lighting event hosted by the CVPOA. Crews came in and assisted Santa in lighting up the tree and taking photos inside the clubhouse with all the excited children! We would like to extend thanks to the CVPOA for having us be apart of this and we can’t wait for more events in the future with them! Thank you all for making this past weekend great and we’re proud every day to serve such an amazing community of people! |
