On Wednesday afternoon the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on Putnam Road for a reported brush fire. Upon arrival Car 2132 reported a active brush fire on a steep incline behind the residence. Once on scene firefighters from Engine 231 stretched a line to the rear of the residence and started to extinguish the fire. Mini attack 4 brought addition firefighters and brush equipment to the scene to help finish extinguishing the fire. Units were on scene for about 1 hour.
