On Tuesday afternoon the Continental Village Fire Department was dispatched to Camp Smith for a reported brush fire. Once on scene firefighters found a large area burning on the mountain top and requested mutual aid UTVs and brush equipment from Peekskill, and Garrison to the scene. Additionally Westchester County PD Aviation was requested with their Bambi bucket. Firefighters remained on scene until the fire was extinguished several hours later.
