At approximately 6 a.m., the Continental Village Fire Department responded to a report of a brush fire on Bear Mountain Bridge Road, which was reported from across the river. To help locate the fire, a drone from the Yorktown Fire Department was brought to the scene. The fire was found on a steep rock face, leading to a request for support from the Westchester County Police Aviation Unit. Their crew used a Bambi Bucket to drop water on the affected area and successfully put out the fire. While the incident was underway, the Garrison Fire Department remained on standby, covering both districts. During this time, they responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9.
